New Options: Just to be clear, as a fitness professional, I prefer planks above all other ab exercises but who doesn’t love a good crunch challenge! Also added, a great option for runners: a slightly different 30 day butt challenge! Please Note we have added extra points for the Full Body Workout due to the amount of exercises contained within it.
The clean eating challenge uses the guidelines below. It is not meant as a restrictive or negative “diet”. My intention is for you to get rid of the things that come packaged, even if they say “natural”. Potato chips are still potato chips. Eat whole foods. That is a lower case w and a lower case f. I am not saying you need to spend tons of money. As a matter of fact, you may spend less. No added sugar does not mean you can not eat fruit unless you put sugar on top of it. I will write a separate blog post on this very near and dear to me topic.
I encourage you all to put your health first on this challenge. Meaning, please do not get over zealous and hurt yourself. I will take points away for that! Only kidding, but the message is to please use this as an opportunity to eat healthy, exercise more and live your life in the most optimal way possible over what is for most, a stressful time of year.
Here are a few of the Challenges you can get credit for. You can do as many as you like but please stay safe. Not all of these challenges are appropriate for everyone. Be smart! However, there IS something for everyone so take a look and let us all know which ones you are going to do. Remember too that the Holiday Fitness Challenge is 8 weeks long so there is time to do a couple of cycles. Have fun!
30 Day Meditation Challenge
There are several ways you can go about this. Below is a beginner meditation challenge. I use an app called Headspace and am also doing Deepak Chopra’s free 21 day challenge but it is already under way.
Everybody should do this one!
This one is very time efficient and effective.
